Ilves vs JYP – Another Home loss
Why on earth can’t the Ilves coaches, boardroom, trainers, owner just please look at Ässät and Pelicans as a template for our future, both of these teams have been involved with a Mestis play-out in recent years and straight after they have bounced back with a much better team, Ässät 3rd in the league last year, Pelicans top of the league right now.
Both are smaller clubs historically as well as in terms of arena capacity, fan base and expectations. We should already set a template for how our team will look next year and make sure we get something right, as this team does not have goals in it, aside from the 8-7 opening day game, we have really really struggled to score goals, many shut outs at home to the point where it is an embarrassment and fans will stay away, not spend money on tickets, merchandise ect.. and the club is doing itself a dis-service and will lose out on money.
If the current guys in charge cannot see this and will not do anything about it then there needs to be change at the top, there is no reason why a team as big as Tampereen Ilves should struggle like this over and over without learning.
Thank goodness for HPK!
